Finally starting to feel like fall

Now that it's September, it's finally cooling down. Well somewhat anyways. Last time I blogged, it was cool in the morning and since then it got a little hotter but it was still bearable. It's supposed to cool off some more within the next few days. Yay! I like the mild temperatures - not too hot, not too cold. It's terrible in the winter with all of the frozen water bottles though. I guess I shouldn't complain because our winters are much warmer than the winters up north. It's still cold though. :(

I am just beside myself with anticipation. I can't wait until the Greensboro show and until my upcoming litters arrive! Between the two of them, I'm not sure which one I'm more excited for. Probably my litters though. I always get eager for those. :) But who doesn't? I love peeking in the nestboxes when I get up in the morning. Then the next stage: hopping out of the box. That's just too cute! They fall out of the nestbox and their little feet fall through the cage. The funny part is they simply can't figure out how to get back in the box! Shortly after, I can start to sex them. That's another good part, too. That's also when the elimation process begins. I usually keep back the good bucks and does and typically sell the BUDs or BUBs.

I've figured out a plan.... I'm going to show all of my jr orange bucks at the moment and the one/ones that don't place well, I'll be selling them. So if you run into me at the Greensboro show, don't hesitate to ask if any are for sale. I'm going to try to sell as many as possible since I don't have enough cage space to bring home the 2 does that I'm getting. I'm buying a sable point junior doe and an orange junior doe. I'm so excited I can hardly wait! :o)

That's it for now. We're going on vacation this weekend so it might be a few days before I blog again.
